On the drive down here I was thinking how much I would miss posting on my blog while I was down visiting with my sister, it didn’t even cross my mind that I could jump on her computer and do my “stuff”.  So here I am, she’s in bed and I’m using her PC.

Sis is a bus driver and during the week she needs to get up at the ungodly hour of 4:00am to get her morning route done, so she usually goes to bed by 8:00pm or so.  While with me, I work at night and usually don’t get to bed until midnight or so.  Hubby’s health makes it hard for him to sleep, which makes me not get much sleep.  His snoring is bad enough, then you place all the load moaningand groaning due to his pain, into the picture, and let’s not forget the hot flashes from his medicines that soak the bed linens, it makes it impossible to get any quality deep sleep for me.

I have been a light sleeper since my kids were born, always having a ear out for the baby’s cry, and then when the oldest turned into a teenager and started having teen issues (like sneaking out of the house which means that you have to sneak back in, or sneaking someone one or more people into the house, the telephones ringing at all hours of the night and and of course the old sneak out of the house and take mom or dad’s vehicle out with friends for a spin issue) my sleep has been greatly disturbed.

Of course the cherry on top of all of this is when I started menopause (and that issue will be addressed in some other blog, some other time) the hot and cold flashes are unbearable. I could write a book on that subject.

I went to the doctor a few years ago to address my sleep situation and I made a list of things that prevented me from sleeping and the list had over 25 different reasons on it, the doctor told me that it sounded like it was time for me to move into my own bedroom!  Yeah, right lady.  I have a dream.
