We live out in the country and our house sits back off the road quite a way.  It’s pretty dark around our house unless we turn on the street light type light in our circle driveway.  My husband is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds so he’s not a small man.  He loves dressing up at Halloween as much as the children do I think.  Last year he got the bright idea to get the ‘Creepeez Werewolf’ costume from Halloween costumes and have some fun with the kids that came to the door.  Imagine seeing a 6 foot tall Werewolf come out from behind the bush at the back of our house about 10 feet from the door where there are 3 cute little ‘Trick or Treaters’ standing on our porch which is only about 3 feet wide and 5 feet long.  There are 4 steps going up to the porch.  There was a cute little Fairy, an adorable 3 year old frog and the one at the bottom step looked to be about 10 and was dressed in a red ‘Ninja’ costume with some of those ‘Combat Chucks’.

Well, when my husband came around that bush growling and snarling at the kids, the ‘Ninja’ attacked.  This little fella proceeded to hit my husband across his shin which made him bend over and grab his leg.  At that point the kid hit my husband right on top of the head twice before I knew what was going on.  I think he ended up hitting my husband in the shin, head and back about 6 or 7 times before I could get him to finally realize it was my husband and not a monster.  While all this was going on, the fairy was headed back to her parents car dragging the frog by it’s arm and both of them screaming bloody murder all the way.  The children’s parents were laughing so hard they didn’t know which child to get first, the terrorized fairy and frog or the attacking Ninja.  While the costume we bought was very reasonably priced, the hospital bill wasn’t.  The two knots that were raising on top of my husbands head worried me so we went to the hospital.  I should have known there was no need since he’s so hard headed but we sure gave the Emergency Room a good laugh for Halloween.

You have got to check out their web site.  I’ll even let you in on a little secret I found by accident.  If you scroll down the page about half way, you’ll see a box on the right side that says “Over 8,000 masquerade items”.  Under that it says “Our Store now has over 8,000 masquerade items for you to choose from”.  Well run your cursor over the coma in the second 8,000 and it’ll take you to a ‘backdoor’ page where you get an extra discount on the already discounted prices.  Now how cool is that?  We are already picking out our new costumes for this year but I think my husband needs to be maybe ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ from Pirates of the Caribbean this year because everyone loves him and hopefully we’ll avoid the emergency room.
