I don’t know about you but I think we need to go back to popular vote instead of electoral votes.  I don’t know when we went to the electoral vote unfortunately.  How did that come about in the first place?  What gets me is that the person with the most votes doesn’t mean they will win.  It’s the person with the most electoral votes that wins.  How can that be?

I honestly think that is what has kept a lot of people from voting.  They don’t feel that their single vote matters much if any.  I have heard a lot of people quote that reason for why they don’t vote.  I told them that was a cop out too.  They didn’t appreciate it but that’s the way I feel about it.  Maybe your single vote doesn’t mean as much as it should, but it does matter and for that reason, everyone needs to vote.  Maybe we’ll be given the chance to vote away the electoral vote someday.  I hope so.
