I ran across the show “Hell’s Kitchen” a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I really like Gordon Ramsey - the chef that scares the crap out of people. He tells it as it is and has a truckers mouth that he cannot contain and comes across as a real *@#+”. He has several t.v. shows that are running right now, most of them I enjoy, Hubby can watch one or two and that is about all that he can take.
Hell’s Kitchen is a reality show that has contestants competing for the grand prize of their own restaurant to run. The teams compete every week and of course once a week some body gets sent home, it can get real emotional if you get into the people like I tend to do.
Anyway, a rerun has started to come on of another series of Hell’s Kitchen listed as being taped in 2007, and then I just saw a few commercials today saying that the local FOX Channel is picking up a brand new Hell’s Kitchen to start sometime in April. I am looking forward to watching that one. I even have learned a few kitchen and cooking tips from watching Gordon Ramsey for the last 5 months or so. Even women needs a chef in her life somehow, somewhere, don’t you agree?
My sister really got into watching a t.v. chef from New Orleans, back in the 80’s, he was an older little man, but she somehow got a kick out of watching him, I watched a few times, but he didn’t trip my trigger at the least, so I moved on. I wonder if he is still around and if so, if my sister still watches him. I’ll have to ask her next time we chat. The things that we remember!
I don’t know where my head has been but I wasn’t even aware of the fact that Easter is coming up next week. At work tonight a women mentioned Easter and I asked her when Easter was this year and that is where I found out that it is coming up sooner then I even imagined.
So much to do, my youngest is still young enough to enjoy painting eggs and the big egg hunt on Easter morning. I usually have her and her friends paint three or four dozen eggs and make a day of it, guess I need to make a trip to the store and fill up on eggs. I don’t know how many years we have left until she is too old to enjoy such things, that is a very sad thought, I don’t look forward to her growing up so soon, but there is nothing I can do about it but try and keep the magic going for as long as I can.
Gotta go down to the basement and dig up the Easter baskets.
Since I don’t get but a few hours of sleep each night during the week, I am glad that I didn’t have to work this weekend so that I could play catch up. I think that I actually got caught up. I barely got out of the bed yesterday, had to at least fix the family something for dinner (I called the pizza delivery guy) and went back to bed and slept some more. I didn’t even get up this a.m. to fix hubby his coffee thermos or our youngest her hot coco for her thermos, but guess what - they survived!
Would have slept all day today but my conscience wouldn’t allow it, but I did stay in the bed until noon at least.
Since I got up I did get some stuff done around the house and went out and picked up a few things from the grocery store, did a load or two of laundry, you know the basics that are always there, always waiting, never ending.
Thought I would spend some time on the computer but I am starting to yawn, maybe I will be able to catch a few zzzzzz’s before tomorrow comes and hits me on the head telling me that it is MONDAY.
Goodnight.
Had to work last night but Hubby made sure that Survivor recorded for me, I couldn’t sleep, as usual, so after midnight I decided to turn on the T.V. and watch the recording. This season is turning into such a mess, it is a good concept - having the fans against the favorites, but I don’t think it is turning out the way people thought it would.
The fans are the biggest bunch of losers, the few that were decent got voted off, right off the bat and now the only ones left are such a waster, it is very discouraging. I mean the show is famous for the voting to be a bit wacky, their decisions for eliminating their tribe members rarely make any sense to the viewers, but this time it is really strange. The only correct vote so far was in the first episode when they voted off Johnny Fairplay, now that was a poor excuse of a human being.
Hubby has lost interest in watching this seasons Survivor, which is a bummer, because we have always enjoyed watching it together for so long. If the show doesn’t get much better soon they may be losing me as a viewer also.

Romeo and Juliet - They were real lovers in Verona, Italy in the early 1300s - and they really did die for each other.
