I swear if these boys aren’t going to be the death of me, they’re flat out trying to give me a nervous breakdown.  Now my second son MA has had to have a nerve block to try and help ease the pain in his leg from when he was hit in the crotch a couple years ago with a slide hammer (something he uses on his job doing body work on wrecked cars).  The doctors were amazed that he didn’t break his pelvic bone when it happened because the skin was bruised all the way around the bone and deep inside behind his pelvic bone.  I don’t know all of what the problem is now or really what it was then but this is an attempt to ease the pain. 

   Now I know my husband is either having an affair or wanting something.  I’m kidding about the affair part.  I would honestly trust him in a room full of naked women………..if they were all over 90.  I’m just playing around.  I think I have been looking as forward to summer break as the kids are.  It’s got me acting pretty stupid too apparently.  I guess it’s just the kid coming out in me.  But anyway, he did clean my van, got the oil changed and had the tires rotated too.  Gotta love him.

You have no idea just how glad I am that I had all boys.  One of them is getting married and I had no idea how much a wedding could cost.  It’s out of this world.  I have been really trying to help her family save some money on everything from flowers to bridesmaid dresses.  I honestly didn’t realize that her family was paying for EVERYTHING but they are.  Bridal dresses are very expensive for just one day of wearing them but I guess if they feel it’s the only time their daughter will get married, then it’s worth it to them to make it perfect.

The wedding dresses she has looked at up until now are so beautiful but also so expensive.  I told them they needed to check on the Internet and I was pretty darn sure they could find something she would look stunning in at a much better price.  I’m pretty sure I have convinced them to try it and then what they save, they can give the kids a head start with.  Sounds like a pretty good idea to me!  I have always felt that it would be better to give the kids what is spent on just the one day, have a simple tasteful wedding, and give them a chance to start off not so far in the whole.  There are so many other things they need and money will be the biggest one.  But that’s my opinion.

I just couldn’t believe it when I heard it.  George Carlin died yesterday of a heart attack.  He was 71 years old.  I didn’t realize he was that old because I still remember him more like he was when I was a teenager.  He had this great way of making you look at the world a little differently and go “What the………..”  Oh he will be so missed not only in my house but possibly in yours too.

Well all the allergy tests are in and it seems I’m allergic to the world.  No seriously, I am allergic to 29 different things.  How is it possible for someone to live as many years as I have (no I’m not telling you my age but I’m not a spring chicken or an old goat either) with no allergy problems and all of a sudden be allergic to 29 things.  Well there are 4 other things that I did know about like hydrocodone (it’s for pain in the Opioid family of pain meds), hair removal creams, sensitive to Latex and since this other mess started, I found out that I’m allergic to decadron (I think that’s how you spell it but it’s a high powered steroid).

Get this, I’m allergic to 4 different grasses (there are 2 of them in our yard), 6 different trees (every tree in our yard but the Hickory trees it seems I’m allergic to), 3 different weeds, 3 different molds, 8 different critters (house fly?  Who ever heard of someone being allergic to a stinking house fly but I am & dog is not one of them, thank God), and 3 different foods (wheat, oysters (yuck) and turkey of all things).  I’m also allergic to histamine………..isn’t that what your body produces that makes you sneeze and sniffle to fight off an allergen? 

Anyway, now it’s about 100 shots and in 3 to 5 years I’ll be 95% cured!!!  How’s that for the cure will kill ya if it doesn’t make you better!!!!  No the cure will keep me from dying because I go anaphylactic and the shots will help that to stop (if the shots don’t throw me into one which we will see I didn’t Friday when I got my first allergy shot so then so far so good I guess).
