With summer just around the corner, the kids are going totally crazy.  Just when I think the children are settling down, they turn around and prove me wrong.  Today in Life Skills class Mrs. Edwards was showing them how to install a new faucet that you pull out and is also a sprayer eliminating the need for a separate sprayer.  Well one of the 7th grade students who just happened to be male, drenched four of his classmates who just happen to be female, then announced to the entire class that it does work better than the old type sprayers.  Everyone started laughing except for the four girls who were standing there dripping all over the floor.  Needless to say, he won’t be at school for the next three days.

If any of you fish, you already know what a ‘honey hole’ is but for those of you that don’t, it’s a place where you can catch a bunch of fish or with bass fishing, BIG fish.  Well my husband went fishing yesterday, came home with this huge grin on his face and announced he had caught about a 23 pound bag a couple times today.  What he means is when you fish in bass tournaments; you are allowed to weigh in up to 5 fish per team unless it’s a tournament where you have a boater and an angler.  Then you each can weigh in up to 5 fish.   The more the weight, the better chances you’ll win.  Well on the lake my husband fishes most of his tournaments; a 23 pound bad is great!!  That might not be too much on some lakes, but it is here.  I know in Florida they catch some big bass but not too many here.  He has a 2 day tournament next weekend and it’s the ‘fish off’ so the prizes are pretty darn good.  I sure hope that honey hole is still full when it’s time for the tournament.

Let’s see, my husband has planted tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, green peppers, onions, green beans, okra, cantaloupes, radishes, and egg plants.  I think that’s all but I could be mistaken.  Then again, you never know what he’ll get the itch to plant next either.  Oh, there are 2 pumpkin plants growing from seeds of pumpkins that rotted in the garden last year.  They didn’t get enough rain and didn’t get big enough to make jack-o-lanterns so they ended up rotten on the vine.  Our muscidine and scuppernog vines look pitiful too.  Just in case you don’t know what they are, they are a type of grape.  We just haven’t gotten enough rain around here for the past 2 years but this year is doing a lot better than the last 2 already.  I just hope it keeps up.  With what food costs at the grocery store and what it costs for gas to get there, the garden comes in handy.

Well one of my all time favorite movies just came on.  It’s ‘Dirty Dancing’ with Patrick Swayze and Linda Gray but I bet I didn’t have to tell you that part now did I?  When I was a teenager, if there was a dance anywhere around, my best friend and I were there!!  I didn’t like going to dances with a guy because you were stuck dancing with just him and I liked to dance with who ever asked me to and I usually danced just about every dance.  I loved to go to my best friends dance recitals too.  She took tap and jazz dance lessons.  My mother said that I was born dancing because when I was a baby and something up beat came on, I would stand up holding the side of my crib and twist my little rear like crazy.  I was dirty dancing before Patrick.  Oh we didn’t dance quite as close sometimes but depending on who I was dancing with, we got pretty dirty occasionally too.  AV was my favorite dance partner but LM and HR were great to dance with too.   Well now I live my dance life through ‘Dancing with the stars’ and any time I can either catch it on or pop in the DVD, ‘Dirty Dancing’.  Such is life.

It was a shock to hear of Patrick Swayze’s illness.  I sure wish him the very best and pray for a full recovery.  The thought of Patrick no longer being with us and making movies for us to enjoy………..that’s not a very good thought so only positive thoughts to him.  Hang in there, we all love you!!

As a mother, I have found one of the best new devices to come out in a long time.  GPS tracking devices are a hot new item that every parent should have if they have a teenage child, elderly parent, or a husband that likes to go hiking.  This personal location service (PLS) is miniaturized and perfect for so many different applications.  The technology provides real-time location coordinates on a Google map so you can see where the person carrying it is at all times.  If your spouse is a police officer, fireman, or any other job that puts them in strained locations, you would be able to locate them immediately in case of an emergency.

Imagine the investment opportunity this little product brings.  You would be on the cutting edge of the latest and greatest new product to hit the market in quite some time.  The PLS is small enough to be built into tennis shoes, military or hiking boots and so many more products.  You can get in on the ground floor and be rewarded very nicely for your investment.  The company was formed on March 14, 2008 with over 30 million shares still available.  I think I will call my stock broker because this just may turn into the retirement nest egg I have been looking for.
