Is it me or has this been a long week?  We had a teachers work day on Tuesday so thank goodness there were only kids in school for just 4 days this week and still it was a long week.  Why is it that when you get a day off in the middle of the week, it makes the week seem to drag on?  Maybe it’s because in your mind you’re thinking it will go by fast and that just slows everything down.  Does that make any sense at all?  I think I’m ready for the winter break.  I think I need it.

Check this story out from Lancaster Pennsylvania, and I quote:

Police say a central Pennsylvania man was arrested on drunken driving charges twice in less than six hours. The man’s first arrest came just before 11 a.m. Sunday after police said his car hit the back of a stopped vehicle in Manheim Township, Lancaster County.  The man was arrested for suspected DUI. After he was processed, he was released to his girlfriend.

The man was arrested again just before 4 p.m. after police said a second accident happened after he turned left in front of another vehicle.  The 50-year-old was arraigned by a magisterial district judge after the second crash. Police said he was sent to Lancaster County Prison.  There were no serious injuries in either crash.

Can you say DUH-HUH?  This person obviously has a serious drinking problem.  I hope he stays in prison long enough to get totally dried out and can understand the severity of his problem.  He could have killed someone or even himself but usually people like him only hurt others.  I’m glad he’s where he is.

It seems like every time I turn around, I need more computer memory. Where in the world is it all going? I think I just added some about six months ago and now I need more. It might have something to do with the fact that my grand kids keep putting their games on my computer.  Well they have to have something to occupy their time when it’s raining or too cold to go outside.  Maybe I need to just get them a computer of their own for when they come over.  That’s a thought too.

Isn’t looking for a new cell phone fun?  Well it might be for you but it’s usually a total nightmare for me.  I got my cell phone to call people when I got the first my  free T-mobile phones.  You know, if I ever got lost or broke down on the road at night, God forbid, and not have a way home, then I could actually call someone to come get me or come fix what ever is wrong with my car.

Then that little phone became my message center when I got one of those free Sprint phones.  I had to know who was calling and couldn’t be without it.  You know how it is, someone just might need me.  The next thing you know, I was texting on my free Verizon phones (and I had two of them by now) if I wasn’t emailing on my computer.  See, I got one for my husband but he’s, shall we say, technology challenged about some things and a cell phone is one of those things.

Now that my husband has found out that cell phones and water just don’t mix, I’m checking out free at&t cell phones because I think they have one someone showed my husband that he actually liked.  What happened to the other phone is he fell out of his boat when he went fishing with his phone in his pocket.  I just might go back to where I started off and go back to Sprint phones.  Yeah, I think that’s what I’ll do.

In Ontario Canada, the police pulled over a car because the driver was rather ‘tiny’.  That’s when they discovered a 9 year old little girl behind the wheel.  It seems her mother had been drinking and told her daughter to drive them home. You have to have a license to drive but not one to be a parent.  Maybe they should consider changing those around, ya think?

The story from msnbc.msn read: An Ontario woman was charged with a traffic violation after having her 9-year-old daughter drive her home following a night of drinking.

“The woman was concerned that she was unable to drive having consumed some alcohol at a social function,” police said Thursday. The child was driving the car slowly along country roads in southeastern Ontario on Oct. 12 when police noticed how tiny she was and pulled her over, police said.
