My husband has been hinting and hinting that he wants an LCD TV for Christmas. Little does he know but I already have one for him. He’ll never find it either. I hid it really well at my friends house. He doesn’t even like her so I know he’ll never go over there and see it.

The best part about it is I keep saying things like “Are you serious?  As tight as money is right now and you want a new TV.  What’s wrong with the one we have?”  He’ll never think I would get him one.  I can’t wait to see his face when I give it to him.  He’s going to owe me big time.

Well it’s about time!  The Dow went up almost 900 points.  That’s a healthy jump but no one is jumping for joy just yet.  They’re all waiting to see if it goes back down and I can’t say as I blame them. Investors are expecting a cut in interest rates when the Federal Reserve announces its decision Wednesday. But they’re also staring into an economic abyss, bracing for a recession of a depth no one knows for sure.  It will all change once the election is over and we find out who the next president is.

I need some new boots not that it’s starting to get rather chilly again.  I love those UGG Boots. They are so very warm and look great too.  I got a pair of them a couple years ago and finally decided I need a new pair since I wore them all the time and they just don’t look as good as they used to.  That sounds like a good excuse to buy a new pair, wouldn’t you say?  I think so.

My husband has a 30 foot cabin cruiser he takes out deep sea fishing.  For our anniversary, I got him a cell phone repeater to help boost his cell phone signal when he’s out on his boat.  If he goes out very far off the coast, his cell phone won’t work but with this, he can keep a signal a lot farther out.  I just feel a lot safer knowing I can reach him if I need him or if he’s out a little longer than I expected.

You know, the sexy lingerie may not be enough to celebrate our anniversary.  We have been together for a lot of years.  I think I’ll find a bed and breakfast where we can spend the weekend together, just the two of us.  I want one in the mountains, with a fireplace in the room and we can light a fire, and just enjoy each other all we want without someone knocking on the door wanting to know if they can come in.  You know what I mean?  Even though the kids are mostly grown, there’s still someone stopping by every time I turn around which is wonderful, but not when you want to be alone with your mate.
