MSN Money central has a list of 5 stupid money fixes.  In these economic times that we all face, it’s probably a good idea that they puplished these because each of us just might consider one or all of them at some point.  Gas keeps going higher and higher, food too, then add the high forclosure rate and you have a recipe for disaster with people that are starting to see disaster up ahead.  Check out http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/ and see if you are one of many that might have considered one or more of these so called quick fixes.

My hubby just came in from the garden with the strangest looking caterpillar I have ever seen.  It is about as big around as your pinky finger and about as long too.  It is a pretty light green but has about 100 tiny white babies all over it.  My husband said it is a ‘queen caterpillar’ and the babies will start eating her so they can grow.  I have no idea what kind of moth, butterfly or what the babies will turn into if they do turn into anything at all.  It was really neat looking.  Wish you could have seen it.

My son is thinking about refinancing his house.  I didn’t know you could get free mortgage quotes online but his wife did apparently.  She was surfing and found a great place that will give you a quote almost on the spot.  I think that’s just wonderful considering all the mortgage problems there are today with all the foreclosures and a lot of mortgage companies folding.  It’s getting tough out there these days.

The last time I did my grocery shopping I was pleased to find that they had Lipton tea on sale so I picked up several boxes. The problem is when I came home and opened one of the boxes in order to make a gallon of iced Tea, the bags more or less exploded in the hot water.  It made quite a mess everywhere.  I tried again, and the same thing happened.  I found the 800 number for their customer service department and gave them a call.

I received a heart felt apology and was sent several coupons in the mail for several free boxes of Lipton Tea Bags. Now that is what I call good customer service. Nice to see it’s still around.

How many men do you know that will have dinner ready for you when you get home from work?  Not too many.  Even though my husband is retired, he cooks dinner for me most nights that I have to work.  He still works two days a week and I usually cook those nights but the other three nights, he cooks usually.  Thank goodness he’s a good cook too.  How is it that one day he can totally tick me off and then the next day, goes out of his way to do something nice.  Oh, I know what that was about….he wants some ’special attention’!!  Aren’t men easy to figure out??  At least in that way they are and only that way.
