With all the crazy weather this year, my hubby and I have been thinking about generators and maybe purchasing one. They come in awfully handy if the power goes out from ice storms or those terrible summer storms that have been hitting everywhere.  Besides, we have a camper too and we can use the generator to camp beside my husbands mother in the mountains too.

You really should read this article at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7517043.stm.  It’s about yet another crazy man hurting another innocent child.  The saddest part of this story is that the man was the 4 year old little girls own father.  Her mother was on ‘holiday’ in Turkey.  Why?  The man had psychiatric medications in his pocket indicating he was under a doctors care for some type of mental problem and still this child’s mother thought it was more important to go on ‘holiday’ than to make sure her daughter was safe.

Children should come first PERIOD!!!  They should even come before your partner at times and especially if your partner is having some type of psychiatric problems.  Medications don’t ‘fix’ what is wrong with you all the time.  Sometimes they make it worse.  This woman should be charged in some capacity along with the father of that precious gift that is laying in a coma in a hospital in Rome.

I am getting so tired of this 90 plus degree weather.  It’s so hot you can’t do anything outside except for early morning or late evening.  I feel so sorry for the guys that have to work on the road construction crews.

Here’s a though, they should take the guys in prison and have them work on the road crews and save the states a bunch of money on having to pay so many people big bucks.  Of course they have to be paid something but that should go to pay their child support and even maybe some money put in savings for them for when they get out to help get a new start.  I guess a third should go to pay support, a third to savings and a third to keep themselves up.  How’s that for a thought????

My son is thinking about refinancing his house.  I didn’t know you could get free mortgage quotes online but his wife did apparently.  She was surfing and found a great place that will give you a quote almost on the spot.  I think that’s just wonderful considering all the mortgage problems there are today with all the foreclosures and a lot of mortgage companies folding.  It’s getting tough out there these days.

The last time I did my grocery shopping I was pleased to find that they had Lipton tea on sale so I picked up several boxes. The problem is when I came home and opened one of the boxes in order to make a gallon of iced Tea, the bags more or less exploded in the hot water.  It made quite a mess everywhere.  I tried again, and the same thing happened.  I found the 800 number for their customer service department and gave them a call.

I received a heart felt apology and was sent several coupons in the mail for several free boxes of Lipton Tea Bags. Now that is what I call good customer service. Nice to see it’s still around.
